26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
What is LGBTQ? LGBTQ is an acronym that stands for “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (or “questioning”).” It is for people who are not heterosexual. It is also for people who do not identify with the sex they were assigned at birth. (https://www.wkhs.com/health-)
You know a lot of the perversion that follows, where men want to marry men knowing they cannot have children, is because they have redefined God’s idea about sex. It is important to consider, and we need to deal with that. LGBTQ assumes sex should not lead to having children.
Let me just deal a bit with the LGBTQ issue. Somebody asked, is it okay to be gay? Ask it differently, is it right to be bisexual? Is it right to be transgender? Can you be either and still be a Christian? Really?
I realize I do not have enough time in this writing, but I ask you to read 1 Corinthians 6:9 and after that read 1 Timothy 1:10.
But God has already dealt with this subject. There are at least five or six verses that deal with this issue.
Number one, look at Genesis 1 and 2. Please note that when God wanted to start the idea of marriage and sex, it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
Am I communicating?
Yes, because Adam was there, God could create another Adam or Steve, but He chose to create a woman. In other words, He pronounced men cannot have sex with men.
So, when man wants to have sex with another man, he is throwing insults on God. “God, you didn’t think properly. Women are not good for sex. I want to have sex with a man!” Why? “I am a creator like you!”
You are disowning God from His creation story. You cannot have sex with another man, my brother, without insulting God. You cannot have lesbianism, except as a way of insulting God. Because God had the capacity to kill Adam and create another Eve. Instead, He wanted Eve to be appropriate for Adam.
Day 2
Romans 1
27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
So, it is important to understand right from the creation story that God decreed that people should have sex only if they were married and should be of different genders.
Then, in Genesis 19 He wanted to make it clear how men who want to dethrone Him are dealt with. You know the story of Lot, don’t you? And it is there. But some people are so immoral, they got tired of having sex with many women and started having sex with other men.
When they saw angels and they looked at the beautiful men, I do not know whether they are handsome or beautiful, they demanded sex with angels. You know the story, don’t you? Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed… they do not exist now… as a way of God showing you how much He is against LGBTQ.
So, you can have legality for LGBTQ, but you know we are not talking about legality, we are talking about spirituality. God is clear in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah; the key thing is that He hates sexual perversion. In fact, in these days we call a man sleeping with a man ‘sodomy.’
Remember, no discussion here is saying that a man cannot be sexually attracted to another man. We are saying you are not a cow in heat. You can stop yourself. You can stop yourself. So, the fact that you have an interest in another woman sexually…, you are a woman, and you want to have sex with another woman, so far, no problem but you are not a cow. You can stop yourself.
God created women to marry men. But you argue, “No, I am interested in that girl!” God has the final word.
You know, people think, “Oh, what can I do? I cannot control myself.” My friend, there is no difference between a lesbian, a woman getting attracted to another woman, and you getting attracted to another girl in your class. “No… no… no, I cannot wait!” But you are not married. “No… no… no, I cannot wait.”
Day 3
Romans 1
32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practise them.
So, if you can stop yourself from sleeping with a girl, you can stop yourself from sleeping with another man. Men, are you hearing me? This is what makes you human.
God has created us with the capacity to control ourselves; we are not animals. Yet when you observe animals, you will not hear of homosexuality among animals. Because they are not rebellious against God, they obey the instinct He put in them.
Again, we are not suggesting men cannot be sexually attracted to each other. We are saying that because they are human beings created in the image of God, they will not disobey God. They will stop themselves.
The same thing, you are a married man, and another girl is tempting you. You have the capacity of refusing to sleep with her. But then, you feel like after all, your wife will never know, but that is irrelevant. You are not a cow. You can say “no” despite all the circumstances being right for having sex. Say, “no… no, I do not want to disobey God.”
Day 4
Leviticus 18:22 NIV ‘ UK
22” ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable
So, when we are talking about homosexuality, we are not talking about them. We are talking about immorality. All immoralities are a sign of disobeying God. And that is what the story of Sodom was all about.
And you can also go on to Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13. The Bible is saying when a man wants to have sex with another man, it is an abomination. What is an abomination? Something that annoys God. It is something that attracts God’s wrath. So, it is clear.
Leviticus 18:22 New International Version ‘ UK “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.”
Leviticus 20:13 New International Version “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
Remember, just like we do not hate women who are sexually active outside of marriage, but rather correct them, Similarly, we do not hate homosexuals; we love them, but we hate the sin.
The other day I went to the internet to check are there people who are giving testimonies about being rescued from homosexuality. There are many testimonies of former homosexuals who have given their lives to Christ, and God has rescued them from a life of homosexuality.
Day 5
Leviticus 20:13 NIV
13” ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
In the same way God saves prostitutes, He can also save homosexuals. God loves homosexuals and wants to save them. God loves lesbians. He wants to save them. LGBTQ, whatever letter you want to place yourself in. Remember God loves you; He wants to save you, the only thing is you must be willing to repent of the past, then He will give you the capacity to say no to sexual attractions outside God’s will.
Sexual attractions outside God’s will include getting attracted to a woman to whom you are not married. Getting attracted to another man. All of them are sexual perversion. And God gave us the capacity to say no.
In Leviticus 18 I want you to go and read these verses for yourselves, he is saying homosexuality is abomination. Then earlier we read Romans 1 where He says homosexuality is one of the ways of knowing that you are lost. When God gave up the world, men started wanting to have sex with fellow men.
Romans 1 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator ‘ who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. And if you read Romans 1 from verse 18, which describes that downward trend to destruction. And you need to understand that sexual perversion is a route to destruction. It is important to understand that.
Day 6
1 Corinthians 6:9-10,
‘Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: N: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.’
Just a moment, do you understand the list of hell-bound people? This is saying that homosexuality is in the category that is listed. You can be sexually immoral, you can be a worshipper of idols, you can be an adulterer, you can be a thief, you can be a drunkard, you can be greedy, you can be a swindler ‘ we normally call them conmen. All of them are in one category not going to heaven.
If homosexual and a swindler go to the same hell, same temperature… It will not matter which sin you did. Me, I am only a homosexual I have not done anything wrong to anybody, but you are disobeying God.
1 Timothy 1:10, “For the sexually immoral, for those practising homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers ‘and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.”
Again, a long list. Just listen to the list. We also know that the law is made up for the lawbreakers, rebels, ungodly, sinful, unholy, irreligious, people who kill their fathers.
I know you have not done some of these, but homosexuality is still in the same category. Or kill their mothers or murderers generally or sexually immoral or people who practice sexual immoralities; they are all in one group of evildoers. All in one group going to the same hell, at the same temperature.
Can you see how clear the word of God is?
I was in Zimbabwe when I heard that they started a church for homosexuals. Earlier, when I was in South Africa, I saw a book titled “Aliens In God’s Church.” Desmond Tutu writes the foreword. It argues that after South Africa gained independence from apartheid, the next fight is for homosexuals to be made part of the church. That is a bishop of a church.
Day 7
1 Timothy 1:10,
‘For the sexually immoral, for those practising homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers ‘and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.’
What do you do with the verses we have seen above regarding this sin? Once you have declared this freedom for LGBTQ, you must never be heard calling yourself a Christian and be against homosexuality. But the Bible tells us you must hate homosexuality. You must never be heard talking against sinners, but you must be clear against sin.
The two are not the same. Every religion talks about homosexuality; people say they hate them. But let us be very clear. The church loves homosexuals because our master teacher, as the head of the church, loves homosexuals. But it is very clear in His word that if you insist on being homosexual, He will take you to hell, not because He wants to send you to hell, but you have made a choice. And choices have consequences.
So, my brother, it needs to be clear, sex perversion is something that will not give you a lot of trouble. You know, one of the things we are tempted to do is what I call proof-texting. Theologians define proof-texting as the method by which a person abuses a biblical text to prove or justify a theological position without regard to the context of the passage.
So, regarding these verses we have looked at, the book I told you, “Aliens in God’s Church,” chapter by chapter, tries to show that the church has misinterpreted them. They say for example, in Sodom, the problem was not men sleeping with men, it was how they received visitors! You should be guiding the visitors. They are trying to remove the context. It is called proof-texting. They take every verse, but you know it cannot change its message. You are being evil doing that.
You know Jesus holds up the creation story in Genesis as authority, reminding us that God created each of us, male and female.
In fact, in Genesis 5, He repeats it, He made male and female. That is why you must be clear. A woman can never be a man, and a man can never be a woman. God deliberately created them different. That is why when you hear people say, “Whatever a man can do, a woman can do even better!” You cannot be a Christian and you talk like that. Because there are things women were made to do that men cannot do. He made us different.
For example, no woman can impregnate anybody. Even if she tries. So, when you say, “Whatever a man can do, a woman can do better!” Now my sister try to impregnate someone, and that is when you will know you are just a woman trying to pretend to be a man. A real woman has no capacity to impregnate anybody.
And men, too. You like children. But you must get a wife, to get children. God created us differently. That is why we cannot allow men to marry men or women to marry women. We were created to complement each other. We have differences.
